  Let me start off by saying Pine Junction is a beautiful place with a great atmosphere, with that being said, I was not impressed this past time we visited up there. I am originally from Erie, Pa and a group of friends and I were up at the peak for the day and wanted to go to Pine Junction for dinner. When we got there, it was very busy and we were prepared to wait. When we got up to the host stand she told us, "We actually can no longer seat people due to our power going out around 9 because someone hit a pole after running over a wood chuck." (I am literally not making that up) How are you still serving THAT many people around 8:35 if your power is going out "around 9." It was absolutely just a line of garbage because instead of making people wait, they clearly sat too many people at once and the cooks couldn't keep up. My party and I were very upset because we were very excited. AND even if the story was true, you should offer your guests your turning away some kind of gift card or discount for the next time they come in due to you not being able to keep up. I was not impressed AT ALL and I will not try coming back again. We ended up at French Creek Tavern and enjoyed our dinner and time a lot more!

  This was a great find for a family wanting a nice meal after a day of being outside. The service was great - not pushy and also didn't abandon you. The food was all-around excellent! Everything was tasty and well-prepared. From the sides of mac-n-cheese, to BBQ sandwiches, to the chicken (particularly nicely done!), to the bread for the sandwiches all was universally applauded. This is a great local treasure and will be a regular stop.
